We had a trip to Cheyenne and Denver planned for this past weekend (Aug 14-17) to see Mike's son, Aydrean and spend some quality time together as a family. The drive on Thursday from Salt Lake to Cheyenne was uneventful-- overcast, but dry. Then, that night at the hotel, it started to rain....and didn't let up. Not even when we drove to Ft. Collins for the Budweiser tour, or the rest of our time in Denver. It only stopped and cleared the skies after we checked out of the hotel on Sunday morning.. and was dry and got warmer as we made it closer to home!! What luck with the weather!!
SO-- our original plans for the amusement park, Elitch Gardens....was out the window. We flew by the seat of our pants for Plans B, C, D---whatever we could come up with to entertain the kids....
